Our Founder’s Story

Ten years ago, I was working for a major national network and found myself asking, "why am I doing what I am doing?"

I had everything a woman at my age could dream for her corporate career; I was a leader for a female-centric online platform, I was a Digital Media Manager with a high-intensity job and equally high rewards. But it was not the career I felt defined my existence. I lived a stressful life, and the corporate exhaustion was taking a toll on my mental and physical wellness.

I will perpetually be a rare free-spirited woman, with tough discipline and headstrong perseverance. So I decided that I wasn’t one to follow someone else’s steps except my own.

Quitting a fantastic job could sound like a crazy and dumb decision, but when it comes to pursuing your dreams and betting for your ideas to achieve your beloved goals, for me, the risk was more than worth it.

To embrace this adventure, mostly, one needs terrific support systems. When my husband, Juan Mezzini, decided to join my liberation, he became the second pillar of what is now Voices Inc.

It wasn’t long until I began to collaborate with Yahoo, then Telemundo Stations Group, Univision, and Sony Pictures amongst others.

Once we began to grow at a healthy rate, I was able to hire more employees locally and across the globe to serve international audiences, expanding services to video production, social media management, professional translation services.

Based in Miami, Voices now counts with around 30 people working from the US, Latin America and Spain, who deliver around 30 pieces of written content a day, and more than 20 videos a week.

If you ask me how we were able to create Voices out of nothing, the formula is straightforward, and it is available to everyone. Insanely love what you do, turn it into your dream business, offer the highest quality, surround yourself with the best team, encourage them to get the best out of them, and inspire and help others to follow your steps.

Our CFO is also the second pillar of our organization as our Co-Founder. Juan has been a crucial and dynamic player, evolving Voices Inc from a freelancer operation into an established company serving the nation's largest media companies for the US Hispanic Market.

Juan has extensive experience in International Business and he's a keen strategist. Before joining Voices Inc, he served as Director of Sales for a multi-million dollar company developing distribution channels in Latin America.

If there was ever a person with an impeccable eye for excellence, our VP of Operations is that woman.

Verónica has a solid professional background as a journalist for both print and digital media. She was an editor at Tú Magazine, Seventeen Mexico, Maxwell Brides, and has more than 15 years of experience contributing to brands such as Travel & Leisure, Mundo Ejecutivo, and Mujer Ejecutiva.

Verónica Ortega has also developed editorial content for Yahoo, Sony, and Telemundo; and, as if that enough, she's developed branding for Avon Cosmetics among other high-end fashion and beauty lines.

Verónica is the Rock of Gibraltar in our operation, and we're thrilled that she's part of our Voice.

Rodrigo is our award-winning Creative Director. He has worked with internationally renowned advertising agencies such as Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi, Y&R, and JWT.

As the backbone of our creative department, he's the brains responsible for creating our captivating scripts for short films and ensuring that the narrative brings profits to our clients.

He's been a mentor, a judge at international film festivals, and a well-rounded creator of concepts.

He has won national and international awards, and is currently the Academic Director at La Guapa, Paraguay’s first creative school.

Fer is our award-winning social media guru. He leads the charge in our digital communications department across all channels by combining his expertise in journalism, business development, science and design.

He has worked with internationally recognized companies such as Nike, Burson-Marsteller, Telemundo, Yahoo, and Consorcio ARA creating PR and brand communication strategies for these organizations.

He has a range of experience from social media management, advertising production, content creation, copywriting, crisis management, media relations, and public speaking.

There are women leaders, and then there's Verónica Mezzini.

As our Founder and the guiding beacon in our vision, Verónica leads with an extensive background in Digital Media.

Her work can be found in some of the nation’s major networks like NBC, Telemundo, Sony, Yahoo, Univision, and CNN en Español.

She worked as Digital Media Manager at Telemundo Network, where she launched Mujer de Hoy portal, developed Noticiero Telemundo and Al Rojo Vivo digital strategies, and led the editorial portion of the 2008 Telemundo.com site launch.

In 2005, Verónica was one of the 16 finalists for Telemundo's “Taller Telemundo: Escritores” program. She was elected among 4,400 applicants, and her final project was ranked No. 1 by the panel of executive judges.

Before her digital media career, she worked as an Account Executive for the PR firm Newlink Group, managing important clients such as the Salvadorian Government, Guadalajara Book Fair, RIAA, and IFPI.
